Sweet Sixteen Sneak Peeks
A Norfolk Mead Hotel wedding
It’s been a while since I photographed a Norfolk Mead Hotel wedding, so I was delighted when Emma & Ben booked me to shoot theirs – a lovely Wednesday wedding too (I really love midweek weddings!).
The forecast for Ben & Emma’s wedding wasn’t looking particularly nice and it did rain on & off during the day. But as always when it’s forecast to be bad it never really is, all day! We got some sunshine and it was warm enough for everyone to spend the majority of the time outside in the lovely gardens at the hotel.
Emma & her bridesmaids got ready in one of the cottages in the grounds of the hotel whilst Ben turned up to get ready at the hotel a little later. The bridesmaids wore lovely purple dresses to tie in with the purple theme – with beautiful floral displays and bouquets from La Belle Flowers.
The ceremony room was packed with Emma & Ben’s family & friends from all over – and everyone got a lovely view of the bridal party heading to the ceremony through the glass windows all round. Once the ceremony had taken place, everyone headed out onto the lawns for drinks & canapes, and we did a few formal group photos (although I always ask for an “informal” group photo too!)
Back into the hotel for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The bride’s father and bestman speeches were truly funny and had everyone in stitches. I then took the couple for a little walk around the gardens for a few portraits, before we came back inside ready for the first dance. We finished off with a few sparklers before I left them to enjoy their evening celebrations.
Thanks Emma & Ben for choosing me – yours was a really lovely wedding day & it’s obvious that your family & friends think the world of you & enjoyed spending your special day with you both!
