A rainy day wedding at Easton Grange

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged this rainy day wedding at Easton Grange yet – it was one of the most fun filled wedding days, despite the inclement weather! Better late than never – here’s a brief summary of Rich & Frankie’s fabulous day!

The Venue

I love Easton Grange – it just has everything, all in one place – accommodation, ceremony hall, wedding breakfast area, beautiful grounds… I could go on, but check out their website if you’re interested to see how beautiful it is! Thankfully too, there are loads of indoor spaces if the weather’s not the best outside!

The Details

So many beautiful details to photograph! I loved the paper flowers decorating the welcome board & in the ceremony room, the cork table plan, and the “wish” jar for guests to write their wishes for the couple. So much thought & care had been put into each little detail, and everything worked so well together on the day.

Getting Ready

Frankie and her six lovely bridesmaids, all clad in colourful dressing gowns, got ready in the purpose built bridal preparations room at Easton. What a great idea – space for everyone to get ready with purpose built mirrors/chairs, bathroom, sitting space, etc! Rich & his ushers, meanwhile, were getting ready in The Bakehouse, a quaint hideaway cottage for newlyweds. The girls all wore pale pink dresses whilst the boys were in cream chinos with grey waistcoats & yellow ties – they all looked amazing!

The Ceremony

The wedding ceremony took space in the stunning light & airy vaulted ceiling ceremony room, beautifully laid out for the wedding guests! Once the ceremony had taken place guests threw confetti as the newly weds walked back down the aisle – the rainy weather prevented everyone heading outside, but that wasn’t a problem in such a perfect inside space.

The Afternoon Reception

With loads of space inside, guests happily mingled with drinks & canapes whilst we got a few family group shots done. Easton also has a covered veranda area outside the ceremony room which was perfect for grabbing some group shots, even whilst it was raining.  The larger group photos were taken inside the ceremony room, which had been cleared of chairs & confetti – I rather liked the group shots in the inside space, using the beautiful ornate candlesticks!

The Evening Reception

The wedding breakfast and speeches took place in the Celebration Barn – again a beautifully bright & airy, beamed room with so much character. Easton Grange have their own caterers (Snooty Goose) and their meals are to die for – the food is just as impressive as the rest of the venue. Thankfully after the wedding breakfast the rain eased off a little and, armed with brollies, we were able to get outside and take some fun photos and couple shots. Back into the Celebration Barn for the first dance – then everyone was up on the dance floor enjoying the music!

Frankie & Rich’s wedding still sticks in my mind for being one of the most enjoyable weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing – such a fun group of people who enjoyed every minute of their day! xx
