FAQS – Norwich Wedding Photographer

How soon should we book a photographer?

Wedding photographers tend to be the next thing that people book after their church and venue – so even if you think it’s too early to think about booking, please get in touch sooner rather than later!

Will we see you before the wedding day?

Yes – you will see me at your engagement photo shoot! If you don’t have one booked, then I will come and see you before your big day to go through your timings and answer any questions you might have.

I hate having my photo taken!

Now if I had a £1 for every time I’ve heard this…! One of the reasons I love to include an engagement photo shoot is that it gives us an hour to have a chat and a wander, whilst I take some lovely photographs and although I won’t force you into an stiff poses (I will just ask you to chat, kiss, laugh as you would were I not there!), I will sometimes guide you into a few comfortable and “un-posed” positions.

Can I print my pictures myself?
Yes.  You can take your USB to a printer of your choice.  Or you can choose to order professional quality prints directly from your online gallery at reasonable prices.

Are you fully insured?
Yes – as well as professional liability and indemnity insurance I also insure myself against equipment failure on the day by having two camera bodies, multiple lenses and memory cards and data backup procedures!

How many images can I expect to receive?
You can expect between 300-800 images depending on how much of the wedding I attend.

Will it be you that photographs my wedding?
Always – I don’t use substitute photographers unless an illness or injury prevents me from attending.  If I cannot make it on your wedding day (which would only be in an extreme emergency!) I have a list of fantastic professional wedding photographers I can call on to cover for me.

What if it rains all day?

Unfortunately the weather is out of our control (especially the British weather), so there’s not much we can do but embrace the rain and work with it! I’ve photographed many wet weddings – we might have to do more inside, but sometimes the rain also gives the opportunity to get some wonderfully creative shots (I have brollies!).

Do you work with a second photographer?
A second photographer is available for £20 per hour or £200 for the whole day and I have a list of professional photographers I work with regularly.  I’d highly recommend you consider adding a second photographer for all or part of your day – they can cover the boys getting ready, at the Church and afterwards whilst I’m photographing groups and much more!

How many hours are included in a full and half day package?
For my full day packages, I’ll be with you for around 10 hours, from bridal prep until after your
first dance.  For a half day I’ll be with you from up to an hour before the ceremony until you sit down
to eat (5-6 hours).

How long will it take till we see the photos?
Your photos should be uploaded into your gallery within 3-4 weeks although in peak season it may be longer.

Can I order an album after my wedding?
Yes, I’ll leave my price list with you.

How do I pick photos for my album?
This is a very simple process via your online wedding gallery that involves clicking a “heart” on the images you’d like and adding them to a favourites list – which you can then click to send to me!

How long will it take for my album to arrive?
Please allow up to twelve weeks from approving your album for printing.

Do I get my engagement photos on a DVD?
All your engagement photo shoot images will be in an online gallery for you to view and order from. Five digital downloads are included with your shoot and your images are available on a DVD for at a reduced price.

Will you keep this year’s prices even if we book a year/two years in advance?
Yes, my current year’s prices will remain the same providing you book in the current year.

How do we book you?
Once we’ve met and you’ve decided you’d like to book, you can complete an online booking form/contract form, via a link I’ll send to you after our meeting.  A booking fee of £250 is required following submitting your form and this will secure your date firmly in my diary!

After booking, when will we see you again?
I will see you on your engagement photo shoot! Before we meet, I’ll send you a link to an online form to complete with full details of the timings, locations and group shots you require for your wedding day.
