Rachel & Tom’s Moreves Barn Wedding
“We are absolutely thrilled with the photographs from our wedding. You did an amazing job capturing so many different moments, some of which we didn’t see ourselves so it was lovely to see them through the pictures. We received the USB today which we are very grateful for, in a wonderful box too! Thank you so much again. The photos are just what we were looking for :)”
Way back in August 2016 (yes I’m really that far behind on my blogging!) I photographed this beautiful wedding at Great Barton Church, followed by a reception at a stunning wedding venue, Moreves Barn (I’d love to go back there again!). It was a warm and very windy day which made for some great uncontrollable flying veil photos!
The day started out for me at Rachel’s parents house, where the getting ready preparations were in full swing. Rachel’s wedding flowers arrived one Rachel’s hair & make up had been completed so I took the opportunity to take lots of photos of them – they were so pretty, really natural colours and flowers!
Whilst I was with the bride, my fab second shooter Mike (Michael James Weddings) met up with the lads near Great Barton before heading over the the Church, not far from them. Once the ceremony had taken place, the guests made a confetti tunnel which literally (well almost) went on for the entire length of the path leading from the Church doors – there was a LOT of confetti flying around in the wind!
We arrived at the gorgeous reception venue after a short drive – what a beautiful place, and Rachel & Tom had thought of every little detail – the inside and outside of Moreves Barn looked amazing. We got lots of relaxed and natural candid photos before shooting a few groups and then Rachel & Tom greeted each guest as they went to their tables. The speeches were so funny, with the guests really appreciating the best man’s cue cards (“applause”, “laugh”.. “too much”) and once the speeches had finished, I grabbed the couple for a stroll around the fields and gardens attached to Moreves Barn. We even managed to catch a rainbow after sheltering from a small shower!
Back inside for cutting the cake and the first dance – where the attention was on a super cool young lad who knew all the moves!
It was a really wonderful day with some delightful people at a stunning venue – thank you, Rachel & Tom, for booking me to photograph your beautiful wedding day!
